Did anyone catch the new episode last night? I was pretty shocked that President Kirkman took the bullet. I thought for sure that it would be his wife.

that show bothers me that apparently, only 4 people work in the White House
FBI agent in custody ALONE
First Lady in Waiting room ALONE
Pres. in Hospital room ALONE
SS agent works ALONE
at least hire extras and have them standing around

It was laughable last night when Kirkman got up and waved to the crowd from his window in his hospital room....
right after he had been shot.
right after he had been shot.

Almost been shot? I'm pretty sure he was actually shot.

I also can't decide which side the Chief of Staff and Congresswomen are on. Both of them have moments of being shady and moments of seeming like good guys.

That was a few days after he had been shot.
What was more laughable was that a bullet from that caliber of rifle went straight through him and knocked him over onto his wife, and he didn't even realize he was the one who was shot at first. Not to mention the open window with a direct line of sight to the inauguration would be noticed immediately by secret service.
The show still has me hooked despite its somewhat lazy writing. It'll be interesting to see where it goes. I'm thinking they'll go for some sort of twist we aren't expecting right now.

I like the show, but agree on some of the lazy writing.
My worry is how long can the show carry this whole conspiracy angle? It seems to be a better mini-series than a full blown series.
If they stretch this out too far, people will quit caring (see The Mentalist).

This is my thought as well.

If it wasn't for Jack Bauer this show would have already been cancelled.
Good premise but the secondary acting is mediocre and the writing is cheesy.
On HBO, Showtime, or Netflix this could have been a House of Cards type show.

Kal Penn who worked as Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement in the Obama administration was on Jimmy Kimmel last week. Kal said there is all kinda shite wrong on the set expect the Oval Office was an exact replica.

On October 14, 1912, an unemployed saloonkeeper shot former president and Progressive Party candidate Theodore Roosevelt outside a Milwaukee hotel. Rather than being rushed to the hospital, Roosevelt insisted on delivering his scheduled 90-minute speech. By slowing the bullet, those lengthy prepared remarks may actually have saved his life.

I personally like the show and storyline. Keeps me guessing every episode. I'm hooked

That was easily the best episode they've ever had to date yet.
I'm looking forward to see how POTUS investigates and prosecutes the traitors in this conspiracy as he can't use the FBI, CIA or any of the federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies and the military as well as they're highly likely to be compromised with moles everywhere by whoever is pulling the strings of Macleish and his wife.
Kirkman is going to have a very very short list of people he can trust to investigate this and that's limited to the first lady, deputy White house chief of staff Emily Rhodes, his SS agent Mike Ritter, Agent Wells and her friend Russell, and I can see Speaker Hookstraten and FBI director atwood being added to the list soon if Wells tells Kirkman about them and vouches for them. I could also see the General he fired being in the mix as well in some indirect way.
And the challenge here is that they're going to have to investigate this off the books as discreetly as they can with the limited resources they have that's still secure and do it as quietly as possible so they don't tip off Macleish and his wife that they know the truth about them.
