Thinking of ending your life? Listen to the latest "In the NO" podcast

That'll give you the push you need. Goddamn man. I know things are bad. Real bad.
But that was the most depressing 82 minutes of my life. There's no hope boys. All is darkness.

I'll just watch this LSU game instead

Our very own Crewz

There was one REALLY dark part, I admit it. But all of it?? A gross exaggeration IMO. And even the dark part, was any of it incorrect?

Says the guy that dreams of trading a 1st for Jeremy Lin
Since the leadership void has been brought up and we aren't getting a Lillard or Westbrook anytime soon, what is the answer? Pseudo Leadership from the coach like they had with Monty?

No. That's what made it depressing.
I will say you went a little extreme with the pessimism. Where I think things are at a 7/10 on the gloom scale, you went to 20

Schwann asked McNamara if he was being a homer thinking that AD/DC/Jrue was one of the most attractive teams to join for Free Agents. MM replied yes it was being homerish because as talented as the Big 3asy is they are all still career Losers that have won nothing and lack Fire and Leadership. So despite the talent Gordon Hayward still ain't coming.

We just paired another superstar with Anthony Davis, for peanuts
Going into next year, we'll have the two best players on the court most nights we line up
That alone moves us so much farther along in building a winner, and actual contender, than we've ever been in New Orleans
I refuse to go all doom and gloom under the pretense of "keeping it real." We're lightyears ahead of where we were a couple weeks ago

Because you guys look at roster and raw talent. I think I value culture, bball IQ, and intabgibles way more than you guys do. Not saying I am right and you or wrong, but that is where we differ. I think that is 80% if the game and you guys seem to think 99%!or winning is names on a depth chart

Going into the all star break, if someone would've said we'd add another superstar to this team for Buddy Hield and a protected pick, nobody would've believed it.
Even less believable would be that after it happened people would end up even MORE pessimistic and cynical than before

You clearly didn't listen. There was one dark part. The OP is exaggerating. Listen and form your own opinion because Tiger cited the pod earlier today and things I said and it wasn't cynical stuff. It was stuff he said he agreed with and he is ya'lls golden god!

Because you guys look at roster and raw talent.
The rest of the roster is trash.
But, those three are a WAAAAAAY better foundation than we've ever had here. Start there. Everybody else is disposable.

I don't think the problem is the lack of favorable mental characteristics, it's that the Big 3asy are standing in the middle of a raging dumpster fire. If you cleaned house and made a respected GM/HC hire, I think you probably could get in the room with top FAs.

You clearly didn't listen.
Just the general "sky is falling," sense that seems to be creeping in, when a few weeks ago our hopes rested on Buddy Hield turning into Davis' #2 guy longterm.

I think if it happens we'll regret it. Not because we'll miss Gentry but because they'll do roughly the same Loomising/Dempsing as when they hired Gentry and watch another bad hire chase away Cousins and then AD.
My hope is if Gentry and interim HC Erman can't figure it out next year that AD and Boogie tell Loomis they'll resign/extend only if the team hires the coach and GM they want. That might result in Cal who I don't think would be great, but if it gets the Pels all the Wildcat alums in the league we can live with an average coach.
