If slaves aren't immigrants then what are Dreamers?

Since slaves did not come to the USA of their own free will so it's offensive to call them immigrants and Dreamers did not come to the USA of their own free will then why are Dreamers called immigrants?

It doesn't matter what reason slaves and Dreamers were brought to the USA.
Neither of them came to the USA of their own free will.
So if it is offensive to say that slaves were immigrants simply because they did not come to the USA of their own free will then Dreamers should not be called immigrants for the very same reason that they did not come to the USA of their own free will.

Still not the same thing. Their parents brought them here in hopes of a better life and future. Slaves were brought here for the sole intention slavery. It's just that simple.
