Yessir. Was going to post this. They got Bagwell for an aging Larry Andersen, who was supposed to be the missing piece to Boston's bullpen for a pennant run. He pitched exactly 22 innings for the Red Sox, then left after that year to go to San Diego.

(He did pitch well for the Red Sox...they made it to the ALCS but lost 4-0 to Oakland)

Yankees trade Willie McGee to Cardinals for Bob Sykes, 1981.

McGee had a borderline HOF career, Sykes never pitched in the big leagues again.
