Anybody watching "The Killing" on Netflix? (Spoilers)

Just got into season 2. About to give up since I've stopped caring about any of the characters. And the "Unpredictable" swerves are becoming way too predictable.
Any reason to keep watching? It has almost 5 stars and 5 seasons so I don't want to give up too soon if it gets better.
Thanks

It was ok. Didn't watch much past season 2 though.
Think Twin Peaks after you find out who the killer was.

I just started watching Season 2 as well and I don't think I'm going to last much longer. How many curveballs can one investigation have in 2 weeks?? Just solve the damn murder and move on to the next one.

The 1st and 2nd season follow the same case and it drags on way too long. The 3rd season has a new case to follow and so does the 4th season. Seasons 3 and 4 have a quicker pace and are the 2 best seasons imo, so I'd power past the 2nd season and watch it through til the end.

Season 1 was great but it goes downhill quickly after
Actually season 2 was OK, I was not a fan of seasons 3 and 4

I absolutely loved it, especially the last two seasons. I would watch it late at night, by myself with the headphones on to get into it. This board was luke warm about it, but it's in my top 10 series- mainly because I loved the two main characters. I wish they would bring it around for another spin.

Alright. Thanks everybody. I think I'll keep on and at least find out who is the murderer.
Does it end up being Steven Avery? He's the only one not investigated at this point.

I watched it on AMC and really liked it.
The relationship between Linden and Holder was the biggest draw for me.

You kind of remind me a lot of Holder but with better hair and a slightly better vocabulary.

Yeah...it has a Scully and Mulder vibe.
I thought Mireille Enos was fantastic. The show was addicting.

No.
Season 1 wasn't bad, but dragging that story out for two seasons killed it.
Season 3 was decent, mainly b/c Peter Sarsgaard turned in an incredible performance as a death row inmate.
Season 4 was terrible.

I just finished S2 of this show... it's addicting, but I'd only recommend for the acting. The problem is the overall story and writing.
Joel Kinnaman steals the show as Holden. They wrote him as a cop wigr and he plays it to perfection. Brent Sexton (Stan Larsen) and Michelle Forbes (Mitch Larsen) are also very good in their roles. Billy Campbell's role is lost due to writing IMO.
Minor Spoilers S1/S2:
===================
- Show is WAY too over the top.
- Stereotypical police LT that yells at his detectives while obstructing the investigation. It's really bad.
- Gratuitous use of every whodunit angle. Literally from the school janitor to the polish mob. Every possible gotcha! angle is ABUSED, including masked school orgy, teacher preying on students, child prostitution, who's the daddy, it's a complete hyperbole mess.
