You are correct. But the media is all over the the triple double chase.
It is like Drew Brees, who has done things as a QB that nobody has done at the position and he has not won the MVP. I know recently the Saints have not been good, but I am talking about before then.
To me Harden is in the same position with the media.

That's is weatbrooks only thing he has going for him so we bring up james doing the same to negate his only point. Harden has tons more reasons to win MVP. Westbrook to be frank has none.

When is Westbrook going to be Frank? is it in a play or Movie?

He shot 34% from the field last night. I should have clarified. He can't shoot below his average and win. What they are asking of him to do is ridiculous. I find it stupid instead of enjoyable. Like watching a train-wreck. Every time I see them play I think of what COULD have been had he been more of a facilitator and played like Steph is playing now with KD. KD is having, in my opinion one of, if not, his best season yet and Steph has taken a step back and been a huge facilitator. Harden took his team to the conference finals against said GW team with a team that had multiple injuries.
I do not see how Russ will beat out Harden for MVP. Houston is playing great and if they finish out strong this last month he will be the MVP.

You bring up this 28/11 bullshite after your "Harden realizes it's a triple double race for MVP so he's trying to get them" shtick failed becAuse he won't catch Westbrook in that category or even come close. Choose one argument and stick to it.

Head to head the lakers beat golden state.
Head to head the bulls beat golden state.
Luckily we have 60+ games worth of data to use instead of 3. that big sample size shows us that OKC is as close to the lakers as they are to CC.

Harden has multiple arguments sorry bro. Russ has one argument. triple doubles that's it.

Well if Sam Presti would have spent all of his assets and money on a one year run at a championship like Houston has done this year OKC would be sitting with 40+ wins, instead he makes small moves that really that'll be key for the next 3 to 4 years and reel in a big FA this summer.

31.4 ppg, 10.1 ast, 10.6 reb on .545 TS% and 42.4 usg%
vs.
29.0 pts, 11.3 ast, 8.0 reb on .614 TS% and 34.0 usg%
Harden and Westbrook's stats are very similar, yet Harden does it way more efficiently with a much higher true shooting percentage and a much lower usage rate.
Westbrook has the ball a lot more a chucks a lot more shots to get stats.
Also, people can make light of Boom stating that Westbrook gets a lot of cheap rebounds off of missed free throws to inflate his stats, but he's 100% correct.
Plus, since the media loves the better team argument (when it suits them), add the fact that Houston is 43-19 and one of the top teams in the NBA and the Thunder are 35-26 and 7th in the West.
It would be a shame if Harden doesn't win the MVP. And the most annoying thing about it is that the media is completely changing their arguments from 2 years ago when they gave Curry the MVP. The same arguments they used against Harden then they are using in favor of Westbrook this time. And the same arguments they were using in favor of Curry 2 years ago they are using against Harden now.

you couldn't be more wrong.
Okc won't be better than Houston for the foreseeable future. And no 'big FA' is going to play in okc With Westbrook.

Does he now. Is it those games where he puts up 15 points on 4/19 shooting because the refs didn't call his bullshite fouls?

He always maintains a flexible roster. The Rockets are not locked into a one year run at all. What are you even talking about?

He's grasping for straws to make a case for westbrook MVP. that's about as bad as it gets.

OKC has been making moves ever since last year with Kanter. OKC isn't going to encourage ANY top tier player to come play with Westbrook if KD playing alongside him can't win..
Westbrook is going to have to dial it back and become a different player to become a legitimate contender again at any time in his career. It is just insane that they couldn't win a championship with KD and Russ if you look it from the point of view of talent alone.
How does a front-office entice anyone to come play there in their prime? Who? I think OKC needs to go the route AI and Philly took since many think they are so similar (they aren't really, but lets pretend) and go defense. They need to attempt to get the best defensive players they can get to surround Russ's ability to score and complement his high usage rate.

Find me one of those games this year.

And it all comes back to the supporting cast.
The uncontested rebounds stat is almost even between the two.
That also put them, what 2 games out of 4th? Terribly misleading.
Westbrook has also had to deal with lengthy injuries from Oladipo, Kanter, Adams. The best shooter on the floor with him is Alex Abrines, a rookie from Spain.

Without even looking he went 4/16 with 13 points against OKC this year.
Posted on 3/3/17 at 11:10 am to PrimeTime Money
Without the ft rebounds he wouldn't have a triple double. Also OKC as a team is damn near dead last at free throw rebounding so having Russ chase them is detrimental to the team. And then they will say. "But Russ has less help" yea Russ has less help bc he is chasing stats and not always doing what he should be to help his squad win.
