I'll make this easy for you by summarizing... Franken's question was about communications between the "Trump campaign and Russian representatives" to which Sessions replied he was not aware of any of those activities.

Fast forward to the fake news outlets now covering how he met with the Russian ambassador and talked to him over the phone. The problem with all of this is that they left some pieces that are rather substantial..yes, he met with the Russian ambassador at an US Ambassador's party that had dozens of ambassador's there as a US Senator, with other US Senators present. He also talked with a Russian representative as member of the US Armed Services' Committee. He also talked to other countries' members including the Ukraine.

Do I need to break this out for you further or do you think you can connect the dots yourself?
