I'm pretty sure that JJ being fired is a formality, but I've read that after April 1st his buyout drops significantly; so, that's why nothing has been done.

You've read incorrectly. His buyout is $33.33k per month until June 30, 2019. It doesn't matter what month he is fired. The longer you keep him as head coach, the longer you pay him his full salary of $125k per month.

Why does this clown even have a buyout? What a joke.
