Obviously you need to research Audi's racing history... They are legendary. Quattro is king ?.
Personally, I have a 16APR Stage 2 tuned S3 and it is an absolute pocket rocket... I blew by an M3 the other night
I'm familiar with Audi's racing history and I've actually followed their racing in Le Mans/ Petit Le Mans. Why do I need to know that though to compare the performance of the RS5 to the AMG C63S coupe or the M4?
And lol you comparing a tuned vehicle to a stock M3. You can Dinan tune a 335i to shite on a stock RS5. There are 700hp Evo's out there, riced out, that would blow past both. Why does that matter?

I'm so itching to stage my WRX. But, it's a company ride still in warranty.

Without question, i would get an Asian vehicle over a German vehicle, no matter where it is actually assembled.
How many of each have you owned?

I'm all Asian now, NEVER had to service any.
I've had German, bout 10 -15 years ago, with issues. American, too, and those had horrible issues.
Except for my Dodge minivan. Probably the best vehicle of all.

German cars today are not german cars from 15 years ago.
I thought the same as you for quite a while. Owned a 85 NA 300ZX, 86 Turbo 300ZX, Mazda MX6, Infiniti G35.
Currently own an Audi, and will never go back to an asian car.

And, service at a German import dealer is light years better than their Asian counter parts.....especially Infinity

Not arguing bro, I'm a fan of both and have onwed all German brands... I've sold them for 15 years and am currently an Audi finance manager. I was just saying that a 4 banger is running with some big company... Extremely fun car to drive

Arthur and Clay are good people in the NOLA dealership...

I feel you. I like Audi. They make great vehicles. I'm just being objective about the performance of those three German brands. Neither their racing history nor the performance of their F1 cars in Le Mans (which they've abandoned) or elsewhere matters when comparing the performance of their production models head-to-head to BMW and Mercedes.
Mercedes has managed to pull even with the performance (although not as efficient) of the M4 with the new AMG C63S coupe. The M5 edges out the AMG E class but the AMG GTs is better than anything BMW makes, including the i8.
What I'm saying is that other than the R8, Audi hasn't been able to compete with those models and they've somewhat gone a different route than pure performance.

You do realize the rs7 is .1 second slower than the r8 right? Many people even say the rs7 is quicker.

The i8 isn't even a performance car. It has like 350 horsepower........
About half that of a rs7 and a full second slower on 0-60.

A6, bmw's always in the shop when I had them.

The RS7 is striking from the front, but it's got the ugliest rear end of any Audi.

As much as I hate to admit it, I have to agree.
Still not as butt-ugly as the new C63 Merc though

lol using 0-60 times of AWD vehicles to gauge performance.
I don't recall saying the i8 was a high-performance vehicle. It's currently the pinnacle of BMW innovation though.

Your entire spill was talking about performance.

There are maybe 3 non ugly Mercs. Two have gull-wings.
