Would they put three teams from the Southland in?
You would have the conference tourny winner, Southeastern and McNeese.

The guys at D1Baseball said they could see 3 SLC teams in. Conference RPI was ~12 most of the season, which is drastically better than normal, and they have gotten two teams in a few times the past couple of years with a conference RPI range of 18-20ish, so I could see it.
I think the theory of three teams getting in figured for McNeese getting to the semis or final and losing though.

Our SID pointed out the fact that McNeese has wins over 3 conference champions; 7, one-run losses (2 to the AAC Champion, Houston); a win over the #2 in the America East; Regular Season Champions; and how balanced the southland was.
The Southland may not have been Top 10 RPI, but it was #12. I mean come on, that is Top half of the leagues (31 conferences in all). And those 3 wins over conferencr champions...wins over the champions of the #2, #4, and #10 RPI Conferences.
I'll even throw in that McNeese has 3 wins over Top 30 RPI teams; LA Tech has 2.
I still tend to think that the 5th place team in one conference and a team that went 8-7 to end the season in another don't get in. Not with an 0-2 and a 1-2 showing in their tournaments.
Who knows though. Have to wait until monday to find out.

UNO's outfielder will be on sportscenter later. Hell of a catch to rob the home run.

Looks like SHSU got the hidden ball trick to work against UNO.

I hope both SLU and McNeese make it but I'm willing to bet the Cowboys are left out if only one gets an at-large.

That's my thought as well, even though McNeese won the conference. SLU finished better (10-5 in last 15), has a better RPI, WINNING RECORDS against the RPI Top 50 and Top 100, and took 2 of 3 from McNeese.
Just have to wait and see. Both have high enough RPIs, but at this point, RPI isn't the only factor.

Got bored at the hotel...came back to watch Central Arkansas and Houston Baptist. Everyone still here was still ranting about that catch. Must've been stellar.

Coastal is in the same boat as McNeese but with an even worse resume.

Went to bathroom, come out, and Central Arkansas coach got tossed. Dunno what happened

Cajuns were up 5-2 in the 9th.
But just gave up a grand slam.

Wow! Georgia Southern just hit a grand slam to go up 6-5 in the top of the 9th against ULL.

Robe absolutely butchered this game.

Amazingly, so far every game in the Sun Belt tournament has been an upset.

Rage Page is losing its collective mind right now. Robichaux should probably read it and think long and hard before returning to Laffy. Lmao!
Bad day for Louisiana baseball. If that result holds, LSU, the only team to NOT play today, will be the lone Louisiana school left in conferenct tournament play.
Is it possible that we just went from 4 or 5 schools in the NCAA tourney to 1 or 2? Looks like it.

This has to be like the 10th game we lose in the 9th inning. What a shite way to end the season and a horrible way to send out Gunner
