I think Zelda having been ready for some time factored into a rushed launch.

You could delay the switch release but Zelda? And it's finished as many people have suspected for a long time...no bueno

What's missing at launch is coming so it's no sweat off my back and they aren't core features but to make this as successful as it can be...those things need to be there eventually and sooner rather than later. By mid year, fall at the latest

consoles that do this are destined to hurt though:

The Gamecube - Small Disc, small lineup, no internet service like the xbox or ps2, smaller library, ended up losing the console generation

PS3 - Extremely expensive, way less launch titles for price point, network service inferior to 360, "caught up" but was still super hindered by the bad launch

XBONE - DRM (yes, this was taken away, but the perception of this hurt them big time in my opinion)

Switch - Barebones OS, very few launch titles, no online store, ?
