Somehow I got them mixed up in my head with the old Oscar's location.

This is the answer if we're not limiting ourselves to Baton Rouge or EBR Parish. It's stunningly good and their lunch special can't be beaten. 2 slices and a coke for five bucks.

The owner is from Brooklyn NY. But maybe I'm missing your point?

I'm just curious as to what 'owner' you are referring to? I used to go there when Omar was the owner, and enjoyed it. However he sold it a couple years back and I haven't been since.

The best Pizza that Baton Rouge ever had was Anthony's on Coursey back in the Early eighties. I've talked to the son and he said they thought about putting pizza ovens in the new location and bringing it back but they decided against it. It was the tits.

I used to like Mama Brava at Cortana quite a bit. I don't remember Anthony's -- earliest places I remember in the area were Milano Pizza, Godfathers, Pepperoni's, Sicily's buffet on the corner of Coursey/Sherwood
