In context, that doesn't make sense. I've never heard anyone refer to "young boys" (his exact words) as 17-20 year olds.
And when it's compared directly to his alleged molestation by a priest at 14 in context, it doesn't help.

We now live in a world where an orange man is president and conservatives fight for the right to buttfrick children.
Strange times indeed.

When I was 21 I had a girlfriend who was a Mexican citizen attending the culinary school I was at. She was 42. I was the second guy she was with. She was legally married at 13 in mexico.

I can't defend this.
I adored Milo and I am just heartbroken.

My brother is gay and over 30. They refer to other younger men (early 20s or just young) as "boys" all the time, but not a minor. So while Milo is accurate in that regard on his "clarifying" statement, I too agree that in that paragraph it is not unreasonable and the most likely interpretation by a wide audience to believe he was talking about a 14 year old.
So he either meant that or laid it out confusingly for his audience. I don't think the audience is necessarily to blame for that.

I just watched the interview in its entirety and came out of it feeling sorry for Milo Yiannopoulos for having been abused and obviously having been affected by it.
He was a child, not a consenting adult, and it WAS molestation (even though he denies it, then redirects with humor). He literally said NOTHING that "promotes" pedophilia. I'm glad to know he's not into being peed on, though.

It's incredible. Reading the mental contortions used to defend this just make you shake your head.

I think it's where it should be for sex with other high school kids, not for consent with adults. I think there's a grey transition area, but a 21 or older having sex with a high school kid is predatory and criminal.
And of course most 14 year olds wouldn't refuse sex from a hot teacher, but the teacher is the adult and should know better and she should be arrested and held accountable.

I really don't care about "Milo in the news" stuff. But I do despise the intolerant Left as I witnessed a sampling of it in person back around 1968, when I was a student at (then called) LSUNO. Leander Perez had come to the University Center as an invited speaker by some college conservative group. As a poli sci major I was interested. But one of the Left Wing groups sent hecklers to disrupt Perez and before he got warmed up, they made so much commotion that the old guy got angry and walked away from the podium. We all missed out on hearing from a piece of history. Fast forward to today...

I don't think I can defend this one...
Here is my take, since Milo is openly gay...he has to kind of find peace and justification for it...right?
Gays always have a stumbling block in their sexuality identity relative to public acceptance or personal security...I think Milo clearly has his own crisis as evidenced here by suggesting younger teen boys with older men can have healthy benefits to "find out who they really are". That's something the devil might say..
I still like the guy and think he super smart ...
when it comes to sexual identity, he is dirty with some of his comments.
He says a lot of it to shock his audience, but I hope one day he can leave his boyfriend comments at home.
at least the dude is honest...

Pretending he was talking about 20-year-old "boys" in a discussion centered around the age of consent is not a mental contortion I'm willing to make.

In the clip I heard this morning he said something to the effect that perfectly consensual relationships happen all the time between 13 and 28/29 year olds and can be beneficial.
If that is descriptive of Milo's argument, it seems the lines are pretty clear here.
