Honestly, monogamy is completely against human nature. And when things get boring, uninteresting, for whatever reason, someone or both are going to look elsewhere to get that special feeling again.

Not to mention all the people who married their HS sweetheart and never experienced another lover. There's only so much interest you can have in another person. Doesn't mean you love them any less, you just know absolutely everything about that person and you want to be fascinated by someone again. It's human nature, I don't get why people act so surprised when it happens. I always think, damn I can't believe it took so long.

i mean polyamory isn't this terrible thing but we have evolved to mate with another and raise kids
