What type of mask do you use?

Covers my mouth and nose.

Do you wake up with dry mouth?

No, but I do have a problem with the mask leaking on occasion.

Basically when the pressures are low I'm ok but as they build up I get really uncomfortable. Have had it adjusted twice.

Guess I need to try and wear it during the day?

That could help... wear it when you're awake for a little each day to help yourself get used to it. You may even want to try a different mask.

It could also have something to do with your pressure settings.

This is also a problem. You should either adjust the mask for a better fit or get a new mask that fits your face properly.

Also, do you have a CPAP that collects data? There's a program called Sleepy Head that you can use to see your sleep data if your machine records it. That can give you an idea of what's going on while you're sleeping.

Go hand and hand. The larger the mask, the more surface area it has to cover, the more likely you are to have a leak. Ask about nasal pillows. If you can't take those, ask about the WISP, which is built on the premise of nasal pillows, but it covers the tip of the nose instead of going into the nostrils. I tried and tried to use a Full Face and it just didn't work. I would rip it off every single night. I even tried one again last week, I get demos since I'm over a lab, and same result. As far as being a mouth breather, you can use a chin strap and a nasal mask with better results than a full face. Also, you typically need less pressure with a nasal mask due to the fact it's directly blowing into your nose instead of basically indirectly over a large area.

Any questions just ask.
