They are not going to PAY FOR US to sit on their soil. Normally renters pay the owner. Until this point, the calculus has been that USA gets net benefit from projecting our power abroad. This is one way we do it.

Yeah no shite it's financially beneficial for them to live under our protection and not have to worry about having a military that's even worth of bringing up in serious conversation.
