I am so confused by all of these diets. Some say don't eat certain foods that we grew thinking were good for you while others say eat plenty. Is there no real agreements on what is good and what is bad?
It's been a lifestyle change, and I've eaten this way for ~2.5 years (1 year real strict, then lazy keto style maintenance). Lost 85 lbs in the 1st year and have kept it off.

If you BP was high before the weight loss and then lower after, your weight loss was the biggest factor in your blood pressure drop and not the diet change.
