The disclosures were requiring US energy companies disclose all payments AND details of payments (contractual terms) with foreign govts. Meaning China can review those contracts to be more competitive thus locking out American companies in future bids. American companies working in Africa will employ more Americans than a china company in the same region.
They will also pay more taxes to fund the govt. that should make you happy.
