Just lost 2 hours of my life getting caught up in the hulk. What a horrible movie. Has the be the worst marvel movie ever.

I don't know, Daredevil with Affleck was terrible.

I personally don't think it's unwatchable but it is very difficult to have a movie centered around a unstoppable rampaging monster of destruction. Marvel knows this now which is why he only appears sparsely to cause destruction and add excitement to their films. You can't have a movie where the entire time the army is trying to hunt him down and prevent him from turning into the Hulk when all the audience wants to see is him as the Hulk.
It's proof in The Avengers when he makes his appearance at the final battle. I still remember the reaction of the audience in the theater when Banner turned. Hulk is by far the most exciting character to watch but almost impossible to have as a central antagonist.
ETA: You are referring to The Incredible Hulk, yes?

That wasn't a Marvel movie. Iron Man 3 is still their worst.

Was iron man 3 the one with the mandarin? That one just flat pissed me off. Such a waste.

Marvel Studios can't make a standalone film with Hulk anyway because Universal still owns the distribution rights, but only on the condition that it's a "Hulk" film. The way Marvel gets away with it is that if he's not the central character, he can appear.

Yes they can and they did. The Hulk has been Marvel property since 2006.

I thought The Incredible Hulk was an early MCU movie, they just changed to Ruffalo for The Avengers.

Both Hulk movies are more enjoyable than Iron Man 3 bc I like seeing the big green rage monster going HAM. I just like watching him wreck everything.

I was never a big Hulk comics reader (and haven't read any since the 90's), but did they change Hulk over time? Seems like he's gotten larger and more invulnerable over time.
Which reminds me, the Hulk-buster space satellite armor fight between Iron Man and Hulk in Avengers was mindblowing waste of motherfricking time and story sidetracking.

I agree, build up a mastermind evil bad guy, only to have him be an actor.

i believe the thread was started talking about the Ang Lee Hulk movie..
Not garbage but not fun either. Enjoyed Nolte having a chance to act for once. Although, was a little too much to take seriously at times.

And as per the deal it was distributed by Universal.
Marvel Studios can't make a stand alone Hulk film.

Iron Man 3 was probably the most interesting MCU movie so far. It wasn't great and it didn't accomplish what Shane Black was trying to do, but it was different.
Cap 1 sucked. The Thor movies suck.

The Eric bana one.
I'm in the minority, but I can enjoy this film - to a point. Nick Nolte plays, probably, the worst written and worst thought out villain in a big budget comic book film.
Bana captures certain elements of the title character better than anyone - including Ruffalo - the scene where he describes how he feels as the Hulk is great cinema. The rest of the film just doesn't hold up to his effort. I liked it better than the Norton film, for sure.

Thor 2 was boring but not quite as bad as IM3. Cap 1 and Thor 1 are decent enough.
