I thought that may have been a requirement to be able to post on TD.

It's a contract position. Facilities Lead Engineer at one of their sites.
Rocket people are good people.
I wouldn't think the facilities side would be as heavily regulated as what you experienced in the nuclear world. Clean rooms for satellites, maybe. If you're talking manned space flight, well, get used to boards, i.e., oversight and approval reviews.
NASA operates its programs using a consensus model (have to get everybody in the room to nod their heads at the same time) as opposed to an empowerment model (think SR-71).

Never worked there, personally...but did some consulting work in Huntsville a few years back...also knew people who have worked there before. Not a terrible place to work today, but nothing like it was 20 years ago or so. From what I have heard, funding is down and they have streamlined beyond the point of inefficiency.

I worked in the Nuclear industry for a while as an Engineer. Nothing can be worse than that restriction/safety wise.
Sub contracted for US Steel. They have a mind blowing number of rules.

5 years as a Bio Engineer at JSC. Crappy pay and went 3 years without a raise.

worked for martin marietta on a nasa contract in the 80s. other than the tight security, it was a great job.

the 2 week year end shutdown was always a nice bonus.

They don't like you saying you work for them. Most people are contractors who work with them.

You mean work for SSS? I doubt you'd have anything to do with NASA's research or launches

Not NASA, but I pretty much apply for a different job every week with spacex

This will get me a leg up on you fools.
I start my new position at a NASA facility as a Lead EE in 2 weeks.
