Last I heard Whitlock was pretty widely considered an uncle Tom by a lot of the black community.

I know the first time he was at ESPN he was fired to calling out Scoop Jackson and saying, "the publishing of [Jackson's] fake ghetto posturing is an insult to black intelligence."

He called Scoop a coon.
He just as political as Jemele Hill, LeBatard, and Bomani but for whatever crazy reason his brand of bringing politics into sports talk is more accepted on the Msb.
