I know this horse should be dead, but I keep reading... coaching changes happy after signing day all the time..
you dont know jack about recruiting if you dont understand...ITS BS... tell me the last team that FIRED two position coached the day after signing day.. I am glad Coach O got rid of those coaches but timing was bad.. it has negative effects on recruiting as we are seeing, it was argued on this board for days.
most coaching changes are at least played up as they left for another job

Go read the thread about NO coaches boycotting LSU and see how often it is brought up that firing coaches the day after signing day "happens all the time"

Who cares, recruits change their mind on signing day all the time too.

So your telling me recruits are mad that a coach was fired the day after signing day but 4 days after on Saturday it was ok or what about a week later?

It's BS the NOLA coaches are mad because their buddy got shite canned.

We had to have vacancies to make new hires. It took 5 days from the firing to the hires.

The optics aren't great, but I can live with it - if they'd foundered into late February/early March to make the replacements, then, yeah, I would agree with you.

Oklahoma St. fired Greg Adkins, an offensive line coach, two days after signing day.

i agree, i can live with it too. I like both the hires and firings, but timing didn't make sense and people are wondering why there is discontent. My point was reading these comments about how it is business as usual to fire coaches the day after are ridiculous. It doesnt happen all the time and made us look bad and will be used against us.

Florida fired their DB coach the Saturday after and Arky fired their D line coach that day too.

Uf had the replacement in place that afternoon so obviously it they were planning it.

keep going if you like, i still see only four schools, but for arguments sake, let say twelve schools for ten percent, does that make it business as usual?

I don't know because I don't keep tabs on it to that extent, but my understanding from national analysts is that this is the time of year that you typically see the rearranging of staff from positional coaches on down. It sounded like we weren't Trail Blazers in this regard.

I'll let it go with this, we were the only program to fire coaches the DAY AFTER signing day which makes it not so business as usual. It looked bad which is why it isn't business as usual, wait a few days, offer some insight why, tell them to look else where while you conduct a search, but the morning after? When i first read about it my first reaction was, well at least they waited until they got the signed LOIs. What do you think the recruits and their coaches and families were saying. I personally like the hires from what i have read

Les Miles fired Tony Ball one week after NSD. D. Craig left his job at Auburn shortly after NSD. This is when it happens. Grow up.
