The NEA gave $28M in the 2016 election cycle.

Agreed, in this day and age that figure is pocket change, unions dont have nearly the power assigned to them by this board.
Teachers unions? bullshite.

Not for nothing but that's only like $1.5 million per year. And for a union that large it actually seems smaller than I would think. Not siding one way or the other, I think that's a different topic.

In my first education class, the first chapter we studied was the chapter on the teachers unions. The propaganda was ridiculous.

It's a bit of a shell game.
In the 2016 election cycle, the NFT spent over $19M. The vast majority of that, $12M, went to outside spending groups.

I used to see the Teachers Union give anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000 to the Democrat they supported in each election in each campaign. They offered me $15,000 in cash in a shoe box if I'd vote for them and the Dept. of Education every vote. I turned them down, they would own me if I did. They gave my opponent $30,000. He lost,I won. It was in his report after the election.

I once had a professor force us to get a membership in the organization or be dropped a letter grade. Basically what the teacher unions do to its members.

APEL is NOT liberal!
Half the cost of membership with same or better benefits! APEL does not engage in political endorsements. Strictly a professional organization that provides legal coverage and prof development for its members.

I have 3 teachers that work part-time at my store with 49 employees. They each have to pay $40 a month to the Teachers Union for dues, staff salaries, and Political Contributions.
