Is Ali Highsmith the most underrated LB we've had?

We have had a lot of great linebackers come through here over the years, such as Debo, Kendall, Riley, and the great DJ Welter
but is Ali highsmith the most underrated? Still one of my favorite plays to watch is him nailing the OSU QB in the NC game

Something something DJ Welter

Kevin Minter was great and he doesn't get mentioned a lot either it seems.

Going into this season, I would have thought Riley was not necessarily NFL material. But he played himself into being an NFL prospect, no doubt helped by Aranda's coaching.
Still Duke has come a long way since he was one of the final players made a commitable scholarship offer as a high school senior four years ago.
It will be interesting to see how he does in the NFL.

Ron Sancho
Mike Calais had a good career despite playing on really bad teams and getting poor coaching. He was always a good player during a tough time

nah, I think ppl had a good respect for Ali's career. for a while, Eric Alexander's 03 season was underrated, but I think he's gotten progressively more love when the "underrated" conversations come up, at least on this board.
vastly underrated season (not necessarily career): Ryan Baker in 2010
87 tackles
11 TFL
7 sacks
in only 12 games, cuz he missed the first game (UNC) with a broken jaw.

He was a good backer who made some big plays, but no. I would give him a properly rated.
Danny McCray may have been the most underrated. I know he bounced between safety and linebacker, but he lasted 5 years in the NFL, and most LSU fans don't even remember him.
Darry Beckwith was another underrated linebacker who had a longer than average pro-career.

Ali Highsmith is a top-5 ALL TIME linebacker for LSU, IMHO

You cannot have this conversation without mentioning the name Hobley...

The fact that Kelvin Shepherd has yet to be mentioned in this thread proves he's one of the more underrated

Jeremy Lawrence gets overlooked since he played alongside fan favorites Bradie James and Trev Faulk. He was a good linebacker though.

cameron vaughn was solid. Not the best but definitely not the worst.

And his career ended in the first quarter of the first game of the '96 season.
