The good news is that this pretty muck locks in Shaun Alexander for the Hall of Fame.

Look dude... If you think TD should be in the HOF, I have no problem with this.... BUT if YOU think he deserves to be in before TO???? You are A TOTAL FOOTBALL IDIOT..............

So, TO was second or third at almost every statistical measurement at his position, yet your saying Warner was more impressive because he had a couple of years of better team success?
Yes and it's not a couple of years. Warner had 3-5 epic seasons and he is one of the greatest postseason QBs of all time. But let's compare..
Who made more money? Warner
Whose teams won more? Warner
Who had more glory? Warner
Who was more famous? Warner
Who was a better citizen? Warner
Who was a better teammate? Warner
Who resurrected a franchise? Warner
Who resurrected another franchise? Warner
I can keep going on..
The only things that Owens had over Warner is numbers and notoriety. That's it. There isn't a sane person that thinks that Owens had a better career. Warner set that bar in his 2nd season (pro bowl, all-pro, MVP, Super Bowl and SB MVP). Warner is a legend in two cities. Owens is a pariah is every town he ever played in. I don't get how you can fawn over someone so unspectacular..

DUDE.... You have ZERO idea what A passion and athletic ability is... You man are A total fool............... I will say this... Kurt Warner was a very good NFL QB... But he is NOWHERE near the NFL player TO was....
How about this... I can assure you that there are at least 50 people that would take TO as their #1 WR if they were starting A team compared to the 10 people that would take Warner,,,,

That's all I wanted to hear.............
I will say this... Davis' performance in the SB game was the 2nd best rushing performance in SB history............. It was awesome.. And with A Migrane.............

Kurt Warner was named the best player in the league, twice. Owens never was once. Every season that Warner started and played every game for his team, they went to the Super Bowl. Owens was a solid player for a long time, but he never did anything to elevate his teams and he was a cancer. Part of being a great NFL player is being a good teammate and sacrificing for the team's greater good. He doesn't come close to Warner in that department.

I don't even know how to quantify that, but I'm pretty sure you can name any season for Owens and I'll take 99 Warner to trump it.

People like Peter King vote. That says a whole lot.
Posted on 2/4/17 at 10:21 pm to Damone
After knighting for Darren Sharper's candidacy I don't think Peter King can turn anybody away for character issues anymore.

TD also had a grand total of THREE elite seasons. How in the world is that enough for him to be deserving of a HOFer???

Roger Godell has influence against those he doesn't like. Watch Sunday, no way he is going to stand on the stage and hand Brady the SB trophy. Ref-gate gone deflate-gate gone HOF-hate-gate!

WR get fricked in every vote
And this means some really good ones will probably have to wait for Veterans committee vote(if they still vote guys in).

Terrell Davis had arguably the best season a running back has ever had when considering the playoffs and Super Bowl. He absolutely deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Some consider him the best playoff running back in history and his career was very short lived.
I'd take Marshall Faulk over Davis in the prime of their years during a playoff/SB run.
