The only caveat is that I'm sure it's incredibly frustrating to not be able to do anything like you used to do it. That said, the whole "oh I'm hurt I'll WD and get it right by training" hasn't worked.
Did you actually watch? On the practice green, before he ever teed off Thursday, he was stiff as a board and could barely bend down to pick up his ball

I have no idea if he's actually hurt or not. I suspect there is some truth to his claims of injuries, but I also suspect he has used injury as a way to avoid embarrassment on multiple occasions.

But if he's as hurt as you seem to say, he's obviously making some poor choices in trying to give it a go.
