The hires are done. It's not McDonald or Johnson. Everyone is gonna be super excited. They will be announced tomorrow.

Why would they be announced on Saturday? Especially Super Bowl weekend? This smells.

One comes from the east and the other from the west. That's really as much as I'm gonna say. It's none of the guys Jimmy Smith has in his 4 candidates for WR Coach.

I don't think they really care if they make the announcement on the Saturday before the Super Bowl. Why would they?

You don't get the coaches we have on staff by being a no body or someone that isn't well respected around the country.

I def have a want to believe this. I'm beginning to think maybe this was the right hire FOR US at THIS TIME. He is saying and doing all the right things...which is all we can ask until the first game of next season gets here.....which isn't soon enough!

From the East & West........divisions of the SEC or the country? Noting you said bama fans would not be happy, so no clue who from the West would piss those gumps off.

Sorry, the bama fan thing was just a reference point. The deal is all LSU fans will be elated. O and Austin did not just settle for filling the position and these guys are both great recruiters AND coaches.

Just as important, these guys were selected by O whereas Craig and Juluke were not. He wants his chance of success being dependent on staffing decisions that he has made, not Les.

Oh, east and west of the country, not SEC. neither are coaching in the SEC.

Did he say when we can expect an announcement or he'll a leak!

He said it would happen "very quickly", and in less than a week.

Seriously, O and Austin knocked these hires out of the park. The only ppl who won't be ecstatic with these guys are bama fans.

Edit: no, we are not hiring anyone away from bama

Yea, if it weren't for dipshite Miles, LSU could lead the NCAA in drafted WRs.

I don't really care. I want guys who produce on the field. Guys like Reuben Randle and Malachi Dupre have yardage stats that just don't match up with their draft stock and that has got to change. Travin Dural had 28 catches for 280 yards last year. Those are the kind of numbers I would expect from somebody like Colin Jeter, not from our titular #1 wide receiver with breakaway speed.

Looks like there was some concern in the past on Robinson Coming to LSU when O got the job. May be spot on!

Ok Brageous, who's a top notch recruiter and a good WR coach on the east coast? I'm racking my brain and google.

I'm drawing a blank since apparently the NC state guy isn't the one. That would be my guess otherwise.

So Robinson has NFL experience...is recruiter of the year...can establish a west coast pipeline...AND an Alabama pipeline?

Where do I sign?
