What thermal said. Previous city parish admin pressured the road contractor to complete the project during their term. So they cut corners, ignored engineering, and rushed the process - ---knowing full well that the new road would start buckling. It was just a matter of time.
Yeah, but this isn't the result of 13 years ago. This is the lane they redid 6-7 months ago. The first one they did.

It's just Lafayette, they just figured out civil engineering

Best part was they started this on many roads around town literally the week after thanksgiving. Total cluster for the worst traffic month of the year.
Here in jax the road crews work late at night not to affect traffic to much during the day.

When they did the ambassador extension they realized that the lanes weren't wide enough to cars to make u-turns. They then had to come back make a shoulder every where there was crossing.
Finally adding turn lanes at the Hwy 89 intersection too. Seems the planners are very short sighted when building roads around here.

Gotta use up that taxpayer money one way or the other

Took Morgan from Broussard to NuNus today via Dhart farm or whatever it is. What really shocked me was the amount of homes they are building out there without any apparent concern for the roads.
Don't they realize they are making the same mistakes BR did by allowing all the home sites development without any apparent regard for the tragic little roads. The traffic circles are cool and all, but they need three lane roads thru those areas.
