Does the 3-4 negatively impact DT's wanting to come here?

We have never had problems recruiting top DT's but I am stumped as to why we are losing out on DT prospects. I remember some years back Albert Hainsworth didn't want to play in a 3-4 scheme that the new DC was bringing in and refused to play or didn't put any effort to play in. The guy was feminine wash from what I remember. Anyway, I'm just wondering what you guys think about the DT's main job soaking up blockers so that the linebackers can make tackles?

Albert Hajnsworth is the ALL TIME laziest player. I'm from dc and remember his saga with the redskins. He sucks.

Not really, or at least it shouldn't, key comes off the edge so often it's pretty much a 4-3 now. Maybe it could change, but Aranda will play whatever works...

Sagan has no problems getting DTs to play in the 3-4.

Alabama runs the 3-4. Now shutup

Bama has been running a 3-4 and they're like 9 deep on DT.

Honestly, I think it does. Everybody can't play nose tackle. It's a position that requires a different type of character because every play you're probably getting double teamed.

Last year we signed Alexander and Lawrence and we have Shelvin signing this year
All 3 are highly touted so what problem do we have???

I mean we got a 4* in Shelvin and probably Big Marv so...
ETA: Farrel is a Tiger now too

I guess you forgot about brick haley. and we had a very good class last year. I think that coach O will always bring in a good DL class so i'm not worried about the long run. sure, two guys we wanted picked other schools but you just can't win 'em all; competition is severe, esp with saban and fisher.
