Me and a group of friends are going to Charleston in May, and we are gonna be staying at Folly Beach. Looking for some advice on places to go and eat and things to do.

Go to Chico Feo bar in folly.

Eat dinner at Husk, but make your reservation asap.

Walk the southern tip of the Charleston peninsula to see all of the rowhouses.

Going in February. Staying at the Dewberry. Have reservations at Husk, FIG, 167 Raw, and The Ordinary. Pretty excited.

quote:We stayed at the Vendue Hotel last year. We were there on vacation planning to watch the LSU - S. Carolina game in Columbia that ended up getting moved to B.R. because of the flooding. The Vendue is a very nice hotel and we made sure that we spent our share of time at the Rooftop Bar. Charleston is a great restaurant town. Three of our favorites are FIG, SNOB (Slightly North of Broad) and The Peninsula grill.

The historical tours on horse and buggy are a nice break from all of the eating and drinking. There are also some beautiful plantations around to tour. May would be the perfect time to visit these.
These are more "couples" things to do. If you're a bunch of dudes just eat and drink. You'll have a good time.

I think Husk is overrated, I would recommend Halls, Edmunds Oast, Grocery or Obsinate Daughter.
I would make a point to go to Sullivan's Island, grab a burger at Poes and a Game Changer at Hometeam. Reds or Waters Edge on Shem Creek are worth a visit also.
I'm not very familiar with Folly, but Bowens Island is close and worth going to.
