I thought it was a legit question by the OP...i follow the team pretty closely and the first I knew of this was when the announcers mentioned it.

I actually had a nice racial joke lined up for the first response, but it took forever until you were the first to respond. So now, meh.

Collins from bama

Arrived in 2000, but red-shirted to understudy Zeph Zinsman. Then, he ran into grade problems and transferred to Eastern Illinois where he played 3 sports. AT this point, he no longer wanted to play baseball, where he dreamed of being a DH.

Then, he transferred to Arkansas-Pine Bluff where he ran into academic troubles and then he was injured in a swimming pool that had no water. He transferred to BYU

He then went on a Mormon mission for 3 years in Paraguay and attempted to walk-on for their national team. Because of Rule 439.4.XIII, he was allowed to regain 2 years of eligibility.

He sat out 2007-2010 to help Virgin-T Mobil get off of the ground, as well as Jesus; he toured 8 months with Cheap Trick.

He transferred to LSU (Alexandria) for one semster in 2010 and then sat out to watch his own son play high school basketball/baseball. Jones liked what he saw and opened up an emergency walk-on position for Collins. Then, Jones chose Andrew Del Pinero over Collins and so he transferred to Alabama A&M.

While at Alabama A&M, he accepted gifts from a local black Catholic priest and forfeited an entire year. Then, he was injured in the 2015 opener against NJIT. He then sat out a year. Meanwhile, he received an NCAA hardship transfer from Bama.

He's there now, obviously. Stupid Johnny Jones!
