Are you stupid or something?
Is it that, or do you really lack basic life skills?
Look, man.
I walked into a local fish store around 9:30am on a Saturday. It had just opened and wasn't busy. There were only 2 other customers there. So the employees pretty much watched me look around for half an hour and then walk out without buying anything.
Either the store thought that they didn't give good enough service or inventory to me, which they will wonder where they went wrong and why I couldnt find what I was looking for, or they thought I stole something and walked out.

Are you thinking reef tank?
Of course. Once I move and get settled down in my new place. I am hoping to move by mid March and have my reef tank up in the summer time.
I am going big this time. I am thinking of saving to get a Red Sea Max 260, 65 gallon tank. I see these everytime I go to a local fish store and fall in love. Part of the reason I went to the store today was just to size up how big the tank is so I have an idea. Bigger than it looks in pics. They are $2400 for the tank and stand though, expensive but my last tank was a 16 gallon Nuvo aquarium that I outgrew pretty quickly. I sold it all when I moved to Seattle. Don't have the disposable income here in Seattle to have one here but I will when I move to what probably will be Houston.
Reef keeping was awesome and I miss the hell out of it.

Ohhh, out with the name calling Rouge! Funny thing, I never heard that one or Liz-a-bitch till I was grown, and just in pleasant convo.
Anyway, had 2 salt water tanks. Can't imagine the draw of freshwater. Saltwater was amazing while listening to PF and tripping many moons ago. Fresh wlda just made me depressed.

I think you'll enjoy your new service fish.

Did you ask employees for any advice?

You think they actually care about you or what you were doing in there?

I have a Fluval M90 36 total gallons. All in one. Expense isn't so bad after you buy all the crap. Although it is getting time for me to bite bullet on better lighting.
Lol I need to do a tank cleaning and do maintenance on protein skimmer and powerheads today.
Red Sea tanks look sweet. Whats corals do you like?
I probably ask my poor fish store 2 hours of questions over 6 months. I always try and throw them business, but so not competitive on supplies. Have great coral though.

I had my own freshwater tanks when I was growing up. Looking back at what I know now, the way I did things was fish abuse. I didn't know any better - this was before YouTube and all of that. For example I didn't let my tank cycle, would add the water and fish right away, instead of doing water changes I would simply empty the entire tank out and scrub it clean and refill it with 100% new water then put the fish back in every couple of months. I still have no idea how I had some fish live for multiple years.
It wasn't until I had freshwater tanks in my college dorm rooms where I really started to progress in the hobby and do things right. But like most people do I graduated from freshwater to saltwater when I was living in Iowa. The only thing I miss from freshwater are the plecos and cory cats but thats what a cleanup crew is for.

I asked one of them how much they charge for mixed saltwater. I plan on investing in an RO/DI system and want to calculate how long I could theoretically buy saltwater from the LFS before breaking even on a RO/DI system.
Another one I asked if they had any mystery wrasses.

I hate fresh water now. Honestly more into the coral then fish. Do love my clowns though.

I'll drop by a Home Depot just to take a dump, no shame here.

The OP was bad enough, but now it's an aquarium nerd conversation.

I guarantee no store has a problem with this.
People go to Walmart just to exercise in a well lit, controlled climate. I see people in workout clothes power walking laps around the store all the time.
