I'm just spitballing here but maybe it's a little more complicated than saying that one race is better at something than the other. Could it be that there are different ideals, pressures, circumstances (a number of things) that create someone who is better at one thing over the other and really doesn't have as much to do with race. But, what the hell of I know.
There are lots of variables in sociopolitical analysis. Race is just one. It doesn't have to always be viewed as the most significant. The problem is that people tend to lose their minds when race is even mentioned as being impactful and the issue devolves into a rhetorical dichotomy where race is portrayed as either the primary source of causality or completely irrelevant rather than simply being viewed as one of many variables of significance.

I mean it does make you wonder what slavery did to the gene pool of African Americans. Slaves were specifically selected to be athletic and productive workers.

Nowadays people get to chose what gender they want to be so you can chose what race you wanna be. It's your fault you suck at basketball and math.

I was about to type something very similar to this. The strongest and most fit were chosen to be slaves.

Who claims that is racist?

Because then you will have a double standad. If athletic superiority is not racist, then neither is cognitive superiority.

I don't understand why the word Oriental is in any way racist unless you are fundamentally ignorant of word etymology. And in any way different than Asian.
Oriental means someone or something form the East vs Occidental which means someone or something from the West. Orient coming from the latin word to rise, so where the son rises.
Asia was originally the Greek word for the other side of the Aegean Sea and then cam to refer to those living in Anatolia and in the Persian Empire.

because everything is racist

Fast twitch muscles are genetic and West Africans and their descendents have high proportions. And my guess is that English, French, and other west Europeans tend to have lower proportions. So the apparent disparity is white Americans tending to be less athletic and black Americans more athletic when compared to much of the rest of the world.

I absolutely think there's a physical difference that shows in specialty positions in the NFL. I wonder if the NBA is more a culture thing though. Would we see more whites if our children grasped onto the game as much as inner city blacks do? Just don't think the physical advantage is as big in basketball as it is in football. But, I never played basketball, so I could totally be wrong.
Posted on 1/14/17 at 12:15 pm to wolfonthebayou
Because it brings forward the idea that certain races are inferior in other categories, mainly intelligence. Even though study after study proves this out.

It is. Played basketball my whole life. The thing is, the superstar black athletes tend to have a combination of size and mobility that you just don't see in others. Tall white guys that can shoot, pass, and rebound can definitely be found, but white guys that can be 6'6" and up and fly around the court like Kobe, Jordan, Lebron, etc. are virtually nonexistent.
Really, football offers less "athletic" types much greater opportunity than a game like basketball due to the Oline positions, QB, specialists, etc that don't require explosive mobility athleticism as much as others.
