A guy at work that everybody likes started doing Team National which is another one of these things and he's got quite a few people signed on. I'm just waiting for the blow up when they realize they aren't getting rich.

I have a friend who started this crap.
She started a little too late I would say. Plexus was really popular on my fb feeds like maybe 4-6 years ago with my housewife fb friends who think they are businesswomen. None of the ones that were all about Plexus and "How much it CHANGED my life" even sell it anymore.
Tell your friend if she is gonna get involved in a pyramid MLM scheme...at least pick a more current one.

I'm not saying he is rich or anything like that, but he did buy a new house and did just get a brand new car so he has to be making some kind of money, right??
I agree, it's complete and total horeshit that they con people into these scams.. I wish my buddy would see the light but he's in way too deep now..
It was weird watching him evolve into this scheme... he tried getting me involved but I wasn't too educated on MLM so it was one of those 'too good to be true' type of things..
he's so brainwashed now, we always talk about it since we are close and I try to reason with him, but like someone else said earlier, he's trained to combat anything I say with rehearsed rebuttals - it's really like a cult.. he's always posting on Facebook about 'mentors' and posting the charts of where he's at on the income aspect of it.. it's fricking creepy honestly

I know a whole bunch of people who've tried these multi level marketing things before and a few tried to lure me into those traps. If your friend has fallen for the video presentation showing luxury cars, mansions, and tropical beach vacations that can all be theirs if they join, then its kind of hard to talk them out of it. They'll eventually realize it was a pyramid scam and get out of it...hopefully without losing too much money.
The only MLM's I've seen where you actually make some kind of profit were a few women (no pics) that I know who sold either Avon, cheap jewelry items, and some skin care thing through MLM and made a few bucks. But eventually they all got out of it because while they can make a few bucks, it wasn't enough money to be worth all the time they spent on it

Too many to count.
Read the book Merchants of Deception. I read it in a day. Good read. So many horror stories that my mom corroborated.
One my mom likes to tell is when that huge May 5 mayfest hailstorm came through Fort Worth and my parents were at an Amway function in downtown Fort Worth as it hit. My mom wants to go home to make sure we were OK and check our house out(all windows broken, backyard fence destroyed) but the Amway uplines basically forced them all to stay. Said they werent team players if they left, and how could they leave, because Dexter fricking Yager is going to speak! Dexter doesnt come on and speak until 3am, by this time everyone is practically asleep and tired, they did this on purpose because its easier to do brainwashing programming when the captive audience is sleepy. Said that Dexter talked about some weird things that had nothing to do with Amway.
The babysitter we had ended up taking us to her parents house and we slept there until my parents got us around 5am.
One of many stories.
Also my mom said that the Amway Diamonds would charge ridiculous speaking fees and would be waited on hand and foot wherever they went and treated everyone like worthless garbage. Like a pharoah would treat a lowly servant. For example one double diamond came in and the poor platinum who had the "privilege" to wait on him didnt give him his coffee at just the right temperature and the double diamond goes nuts and goes on a tirade. Yet these idiots would line up to serve these diamonds because they were programmed to believe simply being near the diamonds was such an honor and privilege. Treated like gods

My wife takes it. Most expensive laxatives and yogurt you can buy.
I love asking her why, if this crap is so effective, haven't Glaxo-Smith-Klein, Welcome, and all the other pharma companies gotten involved? No answer, of course.
