You know what's crazy? I came across posts from the 1980's talking about NBA basketball.
Talking about Larry Bird and stuff.
I didn't even know the Internet existed back then. I'll see if I can find it.
Edit:
Here's one from 1985 where a guy is asking what's so good about Michael Jordan:

I was at the coldest game in NFL history in Cincinnati in 1981, the AFC championship game between San Diego and Cincinnati.
Yeah, it was that cold.
Yeah, it was that cold.

Shortly after, a poster responded to Mr. Cameron's posting stating:
Amazing how far we have come.

Bengals gonna choke like they always do. Houston stacked. Cinci fricked. Can't wait to watch you melt. It will be impressive.

The week before San Diego won in Miami it was so humid that players were cramping up.

Yeah, talk about a weather swing for the chargers that week.

I still think Winslow was faking. As do many there.

Somebody posted one from '97 where a guy was asking for John Stockton's address because his wife is a big fan. The interesting part isn't the actual post though, it's the guys sig quote:
Can you imagine how hard he'd get raked across the coals by the SJW and BLM crowds these days with that quote following everything he posted online
