You totally missed the point. Trump is not conservative. The MSM seeks to define and marginalize conservatives, e.g., McCain, Romney, Bush, etc. Historically, these folks go away quietly when confronted and labeled. Trump doesn't play by these same rules and the MSM and left don't quit know how to handle him.

Here is how it would work:
1) Proggy makes up lie about any spineless R.
2) R would not respond
3) MSM would jump on said lie, and force R to answer to it.
4) If the R responded, the Proggy MSM would go one of two routes:
a) Said R IS GUILTY because they did respond to the lie OR
b) Said R IS GUILTY because they ignored the lie
5) Now ALL Rs must respond to and denounce said lie or they are guilty too.
Now, we have a guy who just cuts out the MSM (crooked third party) and just calls out the lie.
They hate it. Absolutely hate it.
