Property Layout Design

The SO and I are about to purchase 7.5 acres. I'm looking for different ways to lay out the house, driveway, barn and pastures. We'll have 2-3 horses and want to use some of the front for pasture.
I'm looking for a website for layouts. All suggestions are appreciated.

I'm not bragging but I am very proud. We worked very hard to get this. A lot of work to do.

Make sure to have the rape room located next to or near to the bathroom.

Hire a professional. You don't have everything you need to layout utilities, grading/regrading, drainage, surveying etc.
There are landscape architects/site civil engineers who do this all day long that will make it look way better than what you'll do.

I want to say Southern living has some basic home plans you can look at for ideas and to purchase if you want them

Yeah I'm looking into this. There are a lot of oak trees in the front of the property and I'm needing a solid plan before cutting anything down.

Don't forget mine fields, gun towers, pill boxes, and bunkers.

I've seen some places, irl, like you're talking about that have a nice landscaped front lawn with a pasture surrounding it. It's actually pretty ideal because you can make your front lawn as big or small as you want to maintain.
Unfortunately I don't know of any websites where you can get he design because I have never had the need.
But I do like the look of that for houses on a farm surrounded by pastures. A guy I worked with before who was also a buddy had a place like this and I really liked it.
Just make sure you build a house that matches the area. I see so many houses out in the country that look like McMansions that should be in a subdivision in town. I think those look like shite. Houses built out of stucco don't belong on a farm. Around here you also see a lot of houses on the River that don't fit the lot. They look like something that should be in Miami or something instead of on the River.
Congratulations on your new place.

I have a couple of friends and some work associates who have developed 5-10 acre sites for residential living.
The layout varies as to what you want to ultimately do with it and the geometry and limitations of the property. A Drainage Master Plan should be figured out early in the game.
As was said, getting an architect or specifically a landscape architect with experience is not a bad investment.
Also, don't ever apologize for being successful (someone earlier was razzing you about this being a brag thread), frick the haterz.
Good luck.
