Wasn't trying to brag - hose is about 2800 sf/living.
Damnit man that place is lit up like Fort Knox!
It must look like the surface of the sun in there with everything on.

Nice subtle brag... You must have recessed lighting in every room huh.? How big is your house...? Christ
You'd be surprised how many lights you have in your house if you stopped and counted them out.
2600sq ft here. 81 regular bulbs, 6 spotlights outside, 3 fluorescent type light fixtures.
All LED. Changed them all out when we moved in about a year and a half ago. Not a single one has gone out.

no problem with CREE or their 20 year guarantee.
in fact i had some that were buzzing and home depot swapped them to the NEW bulbs that just came out (which are amazing btw) no questions asked.
eta don't buy the 98 cent walmart LEDs and you'll be fine.
I bought 3 different types, including a phillips set. Can you give me a link?
I have BR30 lights.
Also, I need them to dim VERY low, almost no light whatsoever. For sexy time. you have a small child (and a large one) so you don't remember sexy time, but low lighting helps get it rolling.

I've been steadily replacing mine as they go out and I run out of the CFLs I had. None have gone out and I think the Daylight LEDs look so much better.

Some of those lights are on front porch and back porch/cooking area.

I prefer the LEDs over the old style. They last forever. I'm also on the daylight kick. I like the color.

I get what you're saying, but 66 recessed lights, that's a bunch...
Like I said, he must have cans in every room..
Counting our recessed lights, we have about 50 lights in just the house.. and that's counting the multiple bathroom fixtures..

we don't have many recessed lights, but do have a fair bit of track lighting. We have 24 lights in our kitchen/living room, another 15 or so in our bathrooms.
we would love more but our house was built in 1908 so its a bit expensive to install recessed or track lighting.

Okay, so outside I have 16...now to count the basement.
14 in the basement
28 first floor
11 second floor
Damn...how about that! 69!

We have ran into that problem with dimming the modules. Even with the recommended dimmer they still don't dim down all the way

Hmm...now y'all have me thinking. 2800 sq ft and I have 21 recessed/canned, 4 fan w/lights (15 bulbs), 14 bulbs in bathroom light fixtures, 6 small fixtures (12 bulbs), 2- 4 ft fluorescent fixtures (4 bulbs), a foyer fixture and dining room fixture (7 candle bulbs).
I need to look into LED. I change bulbs several times a month it seems.

I wrote the date on the back of mine in sharpie before I installed them. They didn't quite make the anticipated timeframe but it wasn't off by enough for me to take the receipt and box I'd saved up to Lowe's to demand replacements. (yeah, I'm old and have some time on my hands to actively pursue ways to mess with people years in advance)

These are running 9 watts for the same 65 watt fluro bulb while that is a savings some of the new technologies are actually 6.5 to 7 watts. Why does that matter well if you are replacing 70 bulbs the 2 watt savings per bulb will give you 15 free bulbs.

Naw, that's just wise and thoughtful.

Just built a new house...made sure all bulbs going in were LED. Less juice, last longer, less heat loss...just made sense for new construction.

Every light in my house is LED. I think I have changed 2 Light bulbs build in my house since I put all of them in. That was around 4 years ago.
