Assuming you don't have them already, this is OK.. kids aren't for everyone and that is a personal choice
ETA: you don't need my approval, I was just sayin....

I feel the same way as the OP. Gf and I debate this topic frequently. She want them, I don't. Then we babysit her little 6 year old niece who's hell on hot wheels and she realizes that we're not ready and prob never will be.
Eta: I'm 36 too. I'm too old for that shite now.

When my 10 year old son was just 4, he pointed to a very fat lady directly in front of us at HEB and loudly exclaimed "Daddy, she looks like Jabba the Hutt"....yes, during that moment I wish I didn't have a kid.

What the frick? You could get piano lessons or any other real skill for a fraction of that. Is this a social status thing?

then dump your ol lady and use all of that cheddah you have (bc of not having kids) and pick up a 20-something year old. She could have kids for a lot longer. lol jk

Then maybe when you are 35 and still dont want kids then yall werent meant to have kids?

I have an 8 month old son, so obviously i only have a small window to speak of, but i can't imagine not being a dad. He's the best thing that's ever happened to my wife and i. We tried for 4 years and had 2 ectopic pregnancies (baby had to be cut from Fallopian tubes). All that siad, i might be in a different place I'm speaking from than others.

I didn't want kids until I started making a lot of money and got stable. Early 30's. Having kids is great when you can afford the finer things in life and have the time and desire to work with them to mold a decent person out of them.
You don't see worthless, shitty kids all over the place with their fat, worn-down parents. You just see shitty people with shitty offspring. So don't be that.

This is a legit reason not to have kids. I love them to death and wouldn't change anything, but damn they're expensive. The one reason why I would advise anyone not having kids is money. If you can't provide for them, don't have them. It's not fair to them or you. If you want an example of how expensive, I pay over 10K a year just for dance/cheer and they're not in junior high yet. When they get to high school, it could cost me as much as 28K just for school cheer/dance, not counting actual lessons.
Our combined income is quite a bit and neither of us is in our 30's yet. That being said, a lot of the things we want to do are still very expensive. We feel like if we are going to have a kid(s) we want to put them in the best school and give them a good life. At some point you have to choose one or the other.
Is it selfish to think that I'd rather do a lot of things in my life that I know a lot of other people wish they could do but couldn't because of their kids?

and for all the travel/experience life comments from people that don't have kids yet
no vacation has ever brought me as much joy as my daughter
and experiencing life with a child, witnessing that sheer joy and innocence, is more joyful than anything you and your partner could do

Totally different when they're not yours. I wouldn't base it on that.

Sort of.. but imo it's way less selfish than having kids and doing it anyway
