How many Linebackers would we ideally like to get with 6-7 spots left?

The fact that he spouted off the fact that the decommitment of Rice left us w/ 1 LB leads me to believe that he is really following us closely & is sincere

In a really good linebacker group, Starkville (Miss.) High talent Willie Gay showed the most trait. Has outstanding first-move twitch, very fluid, great speed, rangy, has courage to stick his nose in against the run, made plays in the alley, was sound in drills, performed like a five-star. 247Sports ranks Gay as the nation’s No. 3 outside linebacker. Mississippi State is the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite with Michigan, LSU and Ole Miss the other contenders

There wasn’t a linebacker prettier on the hoof than Oklahoma’s Top247 linebacker commit Jacob Phillips who at 6-foot-3 ½, 235-pounds ran very well, was physical against the run and also has soft hands. LSU is battling to flip the Nashville (Tenn.) East Nashville Magnet standout.

According to Michigan fans his grades are an issue.

That would be a hell of a LB haul considering the drama to this point.

We need to make it happen. If Bama could get Lacy eligible, anything is possible. Of course, they get away with a lot more than the rest of us though.

I imagine it's harder to qualify at UM than LSU.

I would think it's possible that could be the case at MI, whereas the SEC's may be less discriminate?

I know the Big 12's requirements are less than the SEC's. Seems like we have had several players over the years end up at Oklahoma St b/c they wouldn't qualify here.

It's definitely harder to qualify at UM than Lsu. Not knocking my alma mater but UM is just a far superior academic school.

“Did they have a linebacker de-commit today?” Gay asked SEC County.

Yep.

“Well tell them Willie Gay is on his way.”

I love this kid's enthusiasm! Everything about this kid screams Tiger!
