I've had great Internet connection but recently moved and im in a rural area now. I'm trying to use my phones mobile hotspot for service but I was only getting about 500 kbps which is terrible. I tried a bridge connection because when I looked it up this was an option but the connection speed was even worse. Any help would be much appreciated. I'd like something fast enough to stream hbo now and play games online. Tia

Does anyone know how AT&T uverse works

Some of the dedicated mobile hotspots can grab a better signal than your phone can.

At our camp, my ATT phone can barely get 3G, but one of our guys ATT mobile hotspot gets a good 4g signal.

May help if you are on the borderline of an LTE tower or something

how afr away is dsl or cable internet service? you may be able to make a wireless shot to a neighbor and you can offer to split of pay their bill to allow you to put the radio equipment on their property.

Also, what mobile carriers are available in your area? use cellreception.com tofind the closest towers to your property. you can then use an external antenna to connect to a hotspot if you can get some service. I know sprint had a pretty decent deal $115 for 30gb of data.
