If I remember correctly, he was ready to commit, but we said thanks but no thanks.

Look at the position he plays and think about the poor job LSU has done this decade in developing and recruiting solid SEC quarterbacks.

Wouldn't have mattered if Andrew luck committed to lsu and stayed all 4 years. Results would have been the same and luck would be a lot poorer.

Be honest with yourself.

He wouldn't have played in a system that maximized his abilities.

He wouldn't have been developed into anything worth a shite.

So it doesn't really matter that he didn't come here. Mason Rudolph at LSU =/= Mason Rudolph at OSU.

Indeed. And Brandon Harris might have developed into Lamar Jackson if he had committed to Okie State and been developed by Gundy.

It is what it is.

Kizer would have been at LSU if Notre Dame didn't offer. That wasn't slow playing him, it was a dream offer he jumped on.

Rudolph was surprisingly unheralded by the sites. He wasn't ranked on 247 until very late in the cycle. When Harris committed, he was no longer a priority for LSU. Virginia Tech was the presumed destination when he was going to commit as they had built a lot of momentum in his recruitment, but he chose OSU which had been a leader for a while.

There were very few people on this board who wanted Rudolph over Harris, star gazers for sure. Our old buddy Memphis was a huge Rudolph advocate, I guess that's why he has some scouting job or something now.

Les/Cam have no clue what a good QB looks like. It's painfully obvious to everyone.
