Or, do we have to wait till next season to see what he can do and give him credit and hold him responsible?

Or, do we wait a year or two?

Is this recruiting class his or Miles'?

Just wondering if the Louisville game means anything at all or if we have to wait till next year when Canada is running things to make a judgment.

What does this stupid shite even mean? Like are you asking if we lose will they evaluate whether or not Orgeron should be coach in 2017?

What?

No. I'm asking if he will get credit or blame if we beat or lose to Louisville.

All season, it has been, "Well, you can't really judge him till he has time to get his system implemented."

So, we lose to Florida and he gets a pass. I'm wondering if the Louisville game will be something we consider to be a program defining game at this point or just another meaningless game like the Florida game was.

Of course he has the job and will keep it no matter what. Don't be ridiculous.

Honestly, I think it makes sense to allow him to get his coaching staff together with at least a full spring and fall.

Do you disagree?

He's trying to ask if it's ok to blast Orgeron tomorrow if things go bad.

It's Orgeron's team now. He's been HC for eight games already and has had a month to prepare for the bowl. If they win, he gets credit. If they lose, he gets the blame. Pretty fricking simple.

From what I can tell Orgeron gets all the credit for "holding the season together," but none of the blame because "you can't change things in a week." It is a pretty good spot to be in. I can't imagine that kind of fallacious reasoning won't continue through at least the bowl game. If we come out and shite the bed against a good defense, it will be because we didn't have Canada, even though we gave Orgeron credit for breaking all those records.

No. I agree, pretty much. Although, if they come out flat and unprepared, I will be frustrated. But, overall, I think that he needs to get his coaching staff all in place. Still, I hope he does well.

Next year will be his first season as head coach.

Not hard.

Continuity was sold to us by Alleva, so of course you hold him responsible.

So, who gets credit for wins and losses this year?

Well I don't really know how to answer all the questions there...

But if you look at what typically and historically happens to a school's incoming recruiting class, I believe it's fairly safe to presume that this recruiting class is Orgeron's. It was his to lose, which he nearly did (see Brennan/Narcisse). And it was his to turn around and hold, which he has done masterfully thus far (see Brennan/Narcisse, and the Canada hire, Aranda raise/extension and Raymond raise/extension, all which led to holding the class together).

Just go away.

This is Orgeron's team. Win, lose or whatever it is his team.

I'm not going anywhere and it is a legitimate question.

If LSU loses tomorrow, will it be that he needs time? I'm wondering. Does the game not matter at all?

It kind of feels that way - like a truly meaningless exhibition. I've never been the fan if a team with an interim coach that became the head coach and made a major bowl game. It is a new experience. When has it happened? I can't really think of a time unless the coach goes to the NFL. This is a unique experience.

To some, this game will be a lot about getting a good look at some kids that didn't see as much action in the regular season...a chance to evaluate whether they are making enough progress to remain on the team or perhaps to move on and transfer...there is still too much dead wood on this team...jmho
