Its not like he is going to jack up the contract value. He is a recruit. If he goes elsewhere, so be it. He has nothing in any sort of grip.

We have a back committed this ywar. We need to offer F. Franklin out of Mississippi Class of 18 early get him locked up. We should offer early pick the LSU guys early and let them help recruit other players. No player should have LSU by the balls, they should want TIGER balls!

He would get a load of carries next year. But, as I always say- losing one player this recruiting year opens up another door next season for some other high rated recruit. Yes, it would have been nice to have Akers, but not an immediate need this off season.
