Per Dellenger
LSU pass rankings since 2012
2016 - 101
2015 - 114
2014 - 44
2013 - 92
2012 - 106
so seems to me a serviceable upgrade.
QB Stats under him:

We just need much more creative run formations along with an efficient passing game.
Canada will nail both of those imo
ETA: oh and much better red zone play, thankfully he's been very good at that.

Also keep in mind that his worst passing offense, 2012 at Wisconsin, was partially the product of too much interference from Bielema. The only game he was able to coach by himself he scored 70 on Nebraska. LINK
And even as bad as the passing was, Montee Ball still won the Doak Walker that year.

Isnt this when we had the true pocket passer that couldnt run to save his life...sounds like thats what we should go with

Maybe if you actually looked at it. they dropped off 40 yards in their pass offense but gained 40 in their rush offense..,,, for relatively the same amount of yards per game
Oh and look at averaged more yards per game and jumped 11 spots in the nation in total offense.
So what was your main point?

From 13-16 there is steady progression.

I believe he's saying it doesn't make sense how our passing offense was lower with Mett than Anthony Jennings.

LSU pass offense was better in 2013 than in 2014

So what was your main point?
LSU was 46th in passing yards per game in 2013 and 6th in passer rating
LSU was 116th in passing yards per game in 2014 and 71st in rating

210 pass yards a game with a Senior 3rd round pick QB. He'll fit right in at LSU

i hate ranking on yards. pitt had the best return man in the nation last year, cut down canadas stats!!
Posted on 12/14/16 at 8:26 am to tke857
Other than year 1-2 at Indiana, his numbers get better while he is with a program. This year at Pitt was awesome for him/them, and likely a result of seniority already on the team, but he did a great job coaching them up.
He demonstrates a consistent offense that can really score.
I am pumped, and he was a top 2-3 choice if I could've had a say.
I think he fits well at LSU with the type of offensive improvement we need without getting away from what LSU traditionally does best.

2013 total offense - 453 yards per game
2014 total offense - 387 yards per game

I'm talking about NC states rankings you dolt. Read the OP

When looking at those national offensive rankings, you have to remember to take talent discrepancies into account.
Neither Indiana nor N.C. State are exactly powerhouses in their respective conferences. Historically, they're both average (at best) teams.

Well he's the best OC in College Football so I guess his past stats do not matter.

Dude! Pilot's initial remark was about the reference to LSU's passing offense rankings in 2013 and 2014, which is clearly stated in the OP. He was saying the info was incorrect.

I was responding to the OP not some derailment attempt by someone else
