Another Cam Akers update

He and his family are no longer talking to Ole Miss.Ole Miss is trying to hire the head coach from Clinton to get another "in" here.These folks will do anything for a recruit!Also Freeze is not wanting to tell the Akers who he has hired as the OC.At this point Ole Miss is out and FSU is making a big run right now but LSU still leads.It's very close folks!

thought Akers was leaning FSU per others on here....then again we should just take all of this posted on here with a grain of salt

I think folks are getting mixed up in the view "FSU making a run" with "FSU is leading".There is no denying they are making a heavy run the last week but it's LSU and FSU right now.The staff has to get an OC in here fast.

So let's assume FSU is leading, maybe even comfortably. What turns that around? What are the deciding factors for Akers specifically?

OC is probably the most likely factor that could change things.

we've had recent in homes with him idk when the last time he was on campus though. hopefully we get him on an official after we get our OC

I talked to about as good a source as it gets on Akers(I coach a 7 on 7 team here in Mississippi) there is no "optimistic" thoughts on this what I posted came right from the Akers.
LSU leads but it's very close.FSU has made a run the last week and the fact we don't have the OC thing worked out is killing us here.It's one of the reason he has dropped Ole Miss.

Sounds like he wants to go to LSU and is holding out hope for a good OC hire.
