Is it supposed to be coming up in Louisiana for voting to legalize or not sometime next year?

I thought JBE mentioned it recently as a possibility

No - well, not in the traditional way these things happen. Every state that has passed a measure thus far has been via signature driven voter referendum. Louisiana has no such mechanism for voter driven referendums. The law would have to come from a sponsored bill. No doubt a bill will be introduced in the 2017 session, but it won't even make it out of committee. Hell, the 2016 medical bill that included no smokable forms barely made it past the final vote.

The tame medical bills that have been sponsored haven't even made it out of committee. Bible beaters and the law enforcement agencies send their brass to the legislature and convince the idiots we have up there that a hole to hell will form under LA if someone dying of cancer smokes a joint.
