The shot of Luke walking up these stairs to face Vader. Visually there is nothing like it.

There is so much there.
If you watch the fight, Vader is one handing his light saber and doesn't take Luke seriously until Luke force jumps out of the carbon chamber.
After that, Vader goes two hands on his saber and starts pulling stuff of the walls and chunking it at Luke.
Vader went from thinking Luke was a joke to pulling out all the stops.

When the smoke clears revealing Vader after Han is frozen. Awesome....

Will be really cool in Episode 8 when the new girl Jedi walks up similar stairs to face the bad guy again before having her hand lopped off.

Worst of the OT, but still pretty decent.
Such sweet dialogue, you laser-brained nerf herder.
The formulaic soap opera twist is also top notch.

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite film of all time....

Not ESB, but in Return, I shudder to think what the Jabba/Leia scenes would have been like if this was done on, say HBO, today.
For ESB, I'm sure they would have upped the torture stuff from merely being suggested/exposited (expositioned?) and the Han frozen in Carbonite part would have been a lot more gruesome.

Not only the best Star Wars movie but one of the best movies ever made in my opinion. And yea when we see Vader's silhouette in the carbonite freezing chamber I still get goosebumps to this day. So many great things in Empire; the battle of Hoth, the asteroid field chase and Vader vs Luke. The music was awesome too.
