I'm on board the Canada train!

When his running game is working, this offense is unstoppable.

I could easily see Guice running that beautiful inside zone run play (with a lead block from a laterally motioning TE/FB). It's a thing of beauty and their RB Conner has got nuthin' on Guice.

Canada is very creative. Big gains on shuffle passes out of a zone read run or pass. Crossing routes, flooded zones, PA fly-route deep passes, quick screen TE dump offs, WR motion tosses/sweeps, QB rollouts, wide-open FB passes in the flats, old school triple option, TE wheel routes from a wing formation...all in one drive.

Geaux Canada!

I'd love for Saban to hire Canada. I watched every snap of Pitt vs Penn St and Pitt vs Clemson this season. If LSU hires him I'll be a jealous bastard.

Yep, wouldn't be surprised if he isn't even on the radar. Pretty pathetic.

If we don't get off the pot, this is who Bama is going to put on their staff.

JA had better pull his head out of his butt and get this done sooner than later. I don't give a crap about LK.

You mean the one that hired Aranda and just locked him up?

His offense fits our talent so well.

Guice (or even Cam Akers) would be guaranteed superstars.

And it's QB friendly: you don't need a superstar talent, but it's safe creative passing play calls for a competent QB that gets huge gains and move the chains. It gets the ball in the hands of our playmakers.

Outside of one 1st down scramble, the QB didn't even really factor in the run game. Although a mobile QB could make this offense even more dangerous.

I could easily see either a Narcisse or a Brennan flourishing in this type of versatile offense.

A trained monkey could have come to the conclusion that Aranda was the main reason for O's success, and needed to be locked down. Come the frick on.

Eta: Les brought in Aranda. From everything I've heard, Alleva's handcuffing of Les is what caused the Steele hire.

Aranda was obviously part of O's sales pitch to get the HC job. And obviously a moron could see that he needed to be locked down.

That said he could easily have gone to a Texas with Herman had he wanted to leave.

Our administration is incompetent at HC hiring for sure but give them credit for getting Aranda locked down.

Call the Athletic Dept. and simply leave a message with the secretary...then you can feel like you did your duty...just ranting on this site accomplishes nothing...do something real...for a change...serious!

I'm not sold.

Yes, he got his lead RB a lot of yards, but it looks like a simple predictable HS offense.

I watched that Tex vs TCU game (rooting for Strong to win so Herman would be freed up) and it was downright putrid. I felt bad for Texas fans who had to root for that team all year long.

It's a singleback shotgun handoff for a RB dive...

...or fake the handoff and pass left, right, or middle. That was it. All game. With little success. Against a struggling defense.

No creativity. No multiple formations. No mismatch matchups. Very predictable. Risky passing windows. Low-percentage deep throws. It's like it's the Cam Cameron version of spread offenses.

I saw one of the 1A high schools running his offense in the playoffs. His offense will get pounded in the SEC.
