I just didn't see too much creativity or ingenuity in the passing concepts that would lead me to believe it could work here. Bubble screens and shots down the sideline, the odd 7 route.

Gilbert and Briles like to play the numbers game. Spread you out wide and count the players in box. If you put 2 dbs on the 3 receiver side they throw the bubble screen, if your db plays more than 5 yards off throw the bubble screen. If you play tight man they throw the deep ball on the sideline. They also like to play fast 17 - 20 sec a play to confuse the defense. It's a simple concept and it works on average secret defenses. Not much creativity in the run game compared to Helfrich's spread.
